Between the lines...
A few of my favorite sequences - written by you...
Oh, the entirety of DoF is a favorite.. I'm not gonna include a few sequences here, lest I end up typing the entire script!!
Michael holds her hands. And into her palm he...
Michael gets on his knees, holds her foot, removes her shoes, and makes her feel the thumping pulsating rhythm of the sand.
With every passing beat, Maria has a feeling unmatched. Something new that she has never felt before. She sits down and touches the sand as it reverberates the rhythm from the speakers. She has tears in her eyes.
Michael holds her hand and slowly makes her get up. Jerry points the rhythm for him.
He taps the rhythm pattern on her palm and in sign language.
Michael removes a piece of cloth from his pocket and ties his eyes. Maria touches Michael's face and is taken over by elation.
She feels his eyes and is moved by the gesture.
The music transitions into a high-octane song, and the reverb and vibrations increase as the screen turns entirely black to enter into Maria's vision. We feel the pulse vibrate as she begins to move slowly.
Phases of light come in and out as the vibrations intensify. The light sways slowly out of sync with the rhythm. A gentle sway from light to darkness and back.
The world is back again as everyone watches as Maria sways her head in all directions.
With every touch of Michael's Maria feels something new. There is a world of difference in her now. She stops Michael's fingers from tapping more. She begins to move.
What an absolutely beautiful story!! It would be wonderful to see it come to life someday...Did I mention I also love the Lakshmi-Ganapathi sequences, the clay toys, the birthday cake, the march, the MJ sequence, the dance sequences, the butterfly..
Shanta gets up, takes a cup, and goes out. He sees three small bags of sugar, packed and ready. Huang runs next to them.
Huang's mother hugs her disappointed son.
Shanta slowly sneaks a bag of sugar and winks at Huang.
Huang, smiles and brings a miniature sugar gramophone.
Now this has the makings of something that could translate beautifully onscreen!! There's something about Shanta - my favorite!.. I'm a huge fan of the entire Dr. Shanta sequence... The ship scenes with Dr. Basu.. the scenes with Chen...just everything. How did you even come up with this story!!
He needs groceries and finds a store with no cashier or attendant on his way home. He thinks about the brawl with the teens and steals a pack of bread, a gallon of milk, and runs. He returns home to find outstanding bills from the hospital. The eviction notice is next. Dorothy asks where he got money to buy the things. He accepts he stole them. They fight. She says he doesn't have to be this person.
My most favorite part of my favorite story. The integrity is so touching! Well done, you - I'm certain this feature is also going to be fabulous... Oh have I told you.. I love Rekha's helplessness and shock when George is gunned down. Beautiful!
Although I've only read the synopses, I love how.. in the end.. Amaran and Rohini feel their daughter Tej is still with them.. I love Kamala's smile at Amrit and the consciously misspelt nameboards - insane detailing!! And how Nattu years for bloodline connections.
